Fellowship Guidelines
Overview
The IPRH grants fellowships to UI faculty and graduate students, who spend the year engaged in research and writing. Fellowship applications are typically distributed in early fall of the year prior to the fellowship year, with a submission deadline of early December and an announcement date of early February. Faculty Fellows are provided with a semester of released time, and are asked to teach a course, during the fellowship year or the year immediately following, on a subject related to the fellowship project. Graduate Student Fellows are given a stipend, and a tuition and fee waiver if one is not otherwise provided for them. All Fellows are expected to maintain residence on the UI campus during the award year, and to participate in IPRH activities, including the yearlong Fellows’ Seminar.
